When I got home from the beach, I was excited to find the two wicker chairs I inherited from one of the former grad students I worked with at Duke. She was moving everything out of her Durham apartment, and these chairs couldn’t make the move with her, so I was happy to give them a home. On Saturday I went out and picked up two cushions and a wicker storage cube to serve as a table when the chairs are in use, and a way to protect the cushions from being used as dog toys when not.
Mark has plans to cut some plexiglass to fit on the top of the cube so the bumps of the wicker won’t cause drinks to possibly tip over, but it works okay as it is right now, too. I’m so happy to have real chairs out there now, instead of the camping chair I had been making do with.
